What To Do With Your Wealth

1Timothy 6:17-19
17 Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy. 18 Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share, 19 storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

These verses are a direct commandment from God. It starts with telling you not to be haughty. I didn’t know what this word meant, so I looked it up. The definition is: arrogantly superior and disdainful. If you have the mindset that you are superior to other people, you are not walking by faith. You are trusting in uncertain riches. God desires a relationship with you. The richest thing you can have is a close relationship with our Lord. Everything else is secondary.

God asks that if He allows you to get rich, you should help Him do His work on earth.

  • Give your tithe to your church
  • Donate your time and money to the less fortunate
  • Share what you have learned with your team and others
  • ALWAYS GIVE THE GLORY TO GOD

Don’t do all of theses things openly, because by doing that you are taking part of the glory. Jesus’s words are clear about this:

Matthew 6:1-4

“Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven. 2 Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. 3 But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly.

Work for the Glory of God and you WILL be rewarded.

Christianity and Wealth

Many of todays Christians will tell you that having wealth and prosperity is evil.

Many will paraphrase a Bible verse and tell you the Bible says that money is the root of all evil.

Lets take a look at this verse and put it into context:

1Timothy 6:6-10:

6 Now godliness with contentment is great gain. 7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain[c] we can carry nothing out. 8 And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content. 9 But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. 10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

I have highlighted a part of this verse. It says that the love of money is definitely the root of all kinds of evil. This does not mean being wealthy is the problem, but being greedy is. The Oxford definition of greed is: intense and selfish desire for something, especially wealth, power, or food.

Verse 9 above brings out this point. But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation. If you are building a network marketing business, greed can destroy you. Why did you join the business? To become rich, to help people, or both. Helping people is what network marketing is all about. If you have a mindset of this from this point forward, and work your business for the Glory of God, YOU WILL BE SUCCESSFUL!

Forget your past! Live for the future! Work your network marketing business for the Glory of God and grow in the most important increase in wealth possible, a closer relationship with God. All other things will come into place.

My next post will be about what to do with your wealth.

This a story from The Bible. It is in the book of Matthew 25:13-30

13 “Therefore stay alert, because you do not know the day or the hour. 14 For it is like a man going on a journey, who summoned his slaves and entrusted his property to them. 15 To one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey. 16 The one who had received five talents went off right away and put his money to work270 and gained five more. 17 In the same way, the one who had two gained two more. 18 But the one who had received one talent went out and dug a hole in the ground and hid his master’s money in it. 19 After a long time, the master of those slaves came and settled his accounts with them. 20 The one who had received the five talents came and brought five more, saying, ‘Sir, you entrusted me with five talents. See, I have gained five more.’ 21 His master answered, ‘Well done, good and faithful slave! You have been faithful in a few things. I will put you in charge of many things. Enter into the joy of your master.’ 22 The one with the two talents also came and said, ‘Sir, you entrusted two talents to me. See, I have gained two more.’ 23 His master answered, ‘Well done, good and faithful slave! You have been faithful with a few things. I will put you in charge of many things. Enter into the joy of your master.’ 24 Then the one who had received the one talent came and said, ‘Sir, I knew that you were a hard man, harvesting where you did not sow, and gathering where you did not scatter seed, 25 so I was afraid, and I went and hid your talent in the ground. See, you have what is yours.’ 26 But his master answered, ‘Evil and lazy slave! So you knew that I harvest where I didn’t sow and gather where I didn’t scatter? 27 Then you should have deposited my money with the bankers, and on my return I would have received my money back with interest! 28 Therefore take the talent from him and give it to the one who has ten. 29 For the one who has will be given more, and he will have more than enough. But the one who does not have, even what he has will be taken from him. 30 And throw that worthless slave into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth’”

This is a very important story about faith and how God will bless your Network Marketing business if you follow Him. These are the words of Jesus speaking to His disciples.

Lets look at Verses 14 and 15:

14 For it is like a man going on a journey, who summoned his slaves and entrusted his property to them. 15 To one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey.

I have highlighted 2 important words here. According to his ability. God is only going to entrust you in your business according to your ability. Not everyone is ready to enroll 10 or 20 people per month into their business. Maybe you are only ready for one, or perhaps you still need to learn your business. This can’t be taken as an insult or disrespect on God or anyone elses opinion of you, but as a building block to follow God faithfully. Take your talents and work them faithfully.

This parable talks about 3 different slaves. One was entrusted with 5 talents, another 2 and another 1. According to their abilities. The ones who were givens 5 an 2 talens, walked in faith and doubled them. At this point the Master said: ‘Well done, good and faithful slave! You have been faithful in a few things. I will put you in charge of many things. Enter into the joy of your master.’

The point here being, these 2 slaves walked in faith with the Master, and truly believed they would be blessed and they were, because of they walked in faith. The scriptures read: Well done, good and faithful slave! You have been faithful in a few things. I will put you in charge of many things. Enter into the joy of your master.’  The master said: I will put you in charge of many things. Because of the slaves faith, they are given increased responsibilities. This indicates the need to grow in your business, any more importantly, your faith. God blesses those that follow him. What about the words: Enter into the joy of the Master? One of our basic needs as humans, is to be closer to God. Imagine God sharing His joy with you. WHAT A FEELING!

The 3rd slave admitted that: Then the one who had received the one talent came and said, ‘Sir, I knew that you were a hard man, harvesting where you did not sow, and gathering where you did not scatter seed, 25 so I was afraid, and I went and hid your talent in the ground. See, you have what is yours. He had no faith that he could accomplish anything with his talent and hid it from everyone.

There are 2 ways o walk through life. One is in faith in your God and that he will help you prosper, or walking by fear and allowing the world to control you. The 3rd slave walked in fear. He hid his talent and did not show the Master that he could accomplish anything with his talent. The Masters response may be considered harsh to some, but it emphasizes the importance of faith: 26 But his Master answered, ‘Evil and lazy slave! So you knew that I harvest where I didn’t sow and gather where I didn’t scatter? 27 Then you should have deposited my money with the bankers, and on my return I would have received my money back with interest! 28 Therefore take the talent from him and give it to the one who has ten.

Serious words. Evil and lazy slave. God expects to you work and excel in the business he has lead you to. Hiding your talents and not working your business is considered evil and lazy. We have been told by God to allow our works to give Glory to Him . Hiding our talents and not allowing them to grow and shows fear not faith.

I am going to be posting more information like this. I want to thank Dani Johnson for an outstanding training on this subject. She truly helped me to understand this parable and how it applied to me.

God and Your Business

I have recently re-dedicated my life to Jesus. He is my Lord and Savior and I have realized I can do nothing with out Him.

The focus of this blog IS going to be how I feel God has sent me on a new direction. I am going to walk in the faith that God is going to guide my ways and help me to grow my Network Marketing business.

God has blessed people throught history with prosperity. Many Christians seem to think righteousness is related but poverty, but that idea is not based on Gods Word. God will give you prosperity, based on your leval of faith. He is not going to give you more than you can handle.

This is going to be an ongoing theme from now on for this blog, I hope you enjoy it.

My primary business is Skinny Body Care.

Let me tell you a little about myself. I have been marketing on the Internet for over 10 years. I built successful teams in 2 companies, but they both disappeared. The main reason those companies went out of business was because of the products they were offering. That has always stopped me from joining a company because it took a lot of work to build those teams just to lose them.

I have spent the last 3 months looking at 100′s of companies. Most of them are garbage, or their payplans are impossible to understand. I have been looking at this company off and on for most of that time. I spent the last few weeks looking only at this company. I have been to 100′s of websites, talked to several people. I got good reviews and bad reviews. I found that most of the bad reviews were really advertising telling not to join this, but join their business. I then interviewed people to pick my sponsor. I wasn’t going to join under just anyone.

A business must meet certain requirements to be sustainable:

1. A product that is consumable.
2. An understandable pay plan.
3. Solid Leadership

This business has all of that.

I am a member of a team that is highly successful. I just looked at the leaderboard on the site, and the team I am working with has 6 of the top 10 positions.

Just as I interviewed sponsors, I like to do the same with my prospective team members. If you don’t mind, please answer these few questions at this website: http://jimclary.us

1. Are you willing to commit to $75 the first month and $65 after that for a minimum of 6 months?
2. Can you work your business for 10 hours per week?
3. Will you allow yourself to be teachable?
4. What is your income goal at 6 months
5. Are you ready for success?

Think about these questions. They are a very important part of making a decision.

I look forward to hearing from you!!

Why do you blog, Part 1

People who start a blog do so for many reasons. These reasons are personal and vary from person to person.

The reason I believe the majority of beginning bloggers use is to make money. There is a belief among many people that if you build a site, people will visit and click on your affiliate or other money making links and voila, you are making money. There are even people who will gladly sell you an ebook or system that they say will do this for you.

Another reason is people want to interact with other people from around the world. This person may not think about making money, just friends. They use their blog as a type of social network, trying to meet as many people as possible.

Some people may be trying to establish themselves as an expert in their field. Someone people will turn to for sound advice or ways to solve a problem.

In the next few posts, I am going to look at these reasons and examine the pro’s and con’s of each. How can each of these be used to build a successful blog. If you are a blogger, tell me, why do you start? Have you moved in a different direction?
